As well as Thomas' commitments with his conducting and singing, he is also a very accomplished pianist. He is the Director of Music at St. Mary's Priory Church, Monmouth and plays organ for services including Eucharists, Evensongs (when not conducting), weddings, funerals and baptisms. Thomas is also a musician with Music in Hospitals and Care and regularly works with MIHC in care homes, hospitals, schools and centres. He has been learning piano from the age of six and has been fortunate enough to have a piano lesson with Lang Lang!
Thomas is frequently asked to accompany for soloists, choir rehearsals and for Musical Theatre and Opera. He has acted as a répétiteur for Cardiff Opera's production of Giulio Cesare in Egitto, as well as the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers. He occasionally steps in to play for choirs such as Swansea Bach Choir.
Thomas also plays organ and has played for services at places of worship such as Llandaff Cathedral and St. Edmundsbury Cathedral.
