Thomas often sings as a tenor in choral concerts, either as part of the choir or asked to 'bump' the tenor choir. Likewise, he is often asked to sing as a soloist for choral concerts.
Regularly performing on BBC TV and Radio, Thomas was a holder of a Bursary when studying at Cardiff University and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He was also asked to sing as part of a tenor solo quartet for James Macmillan's 'Seven Angels', recorded for BBC Radio 3.
When Thomas was not standing at the podium with Cardiff Bach Choir, Thomas can be found assisting from the choir itself in the Tenor section.
Thomas has been invited to sing as a soloist for Cardiff Polyphonic Choir, most recently in the summer of 2023 for a British composers concert - including Finzi's 'Lo The Full Final Sacrifice' and Britten's 'Rejoice in the Lamb'.
Thomas was accepted into Caritas Choir in 2019, performing in many charity concerts with them.
Since November 2021, Thomas started singing as a deputy lay clerk at Gloucester Cathedral, conducted by Adrian Partington (also conductor of the BBC National Chorus of Wales).
Thomas is a regular singer of the back row at Llandaff Cathedral and has been singing with the choir since September 2018. Thomas frequently has solos with the choir and has also performed one BBC TV (e.g. National Remembrance Service of Wales in 2018) and Radio (e.g. BBC Radio 4 Morning Worship).
